Reclaimed Wood Flooring

Our reclaimed oak floorboards carry the specific gravity of the structures they once held together. Barns, farmhouses, factories and civic buildings across Europe and the United States, with timber up to three centuries old. The grain is dense and slow-grown, the tonal depth built by the building itself, the surface character impossible to manufacture. Reclaimed pine flooring reads differently. It is lighter, warmer, marked by nail holes and the softened grain of domestic timber that has already served a full life underfoot. Many of our reclaimed collections are built in both engineered and solid forms. Reclaimed engineered wood flooring sets an aged surface over a European birch-ply base bonded with WBP waterproof glue. It is stable under underfloor heating, steady over concrete, and free of seasonal movement. Some of our oldest reclaimed oak, such as the 18th- and 19th-century Antique European Oak, needs no engineering at all; centuries of slow atmospheric change have naturally settled the timber. Solid reclaimed hardwood flooring is the unaltered original. One continuous piece of timber, carrying the full depth, weight and grain of the wood it came from. Dimensions, layouts, finishes and character are fully bespoke. Every floor is unique and hand-made in Cheshire.
