Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood flooring at Re:claimed opens our broadest palette of quiet neutrals through to deep, expressive patinas built up through layered organic compounds. The kind of surface depth that flat commercial finishes cannot reach. Each board in this category is a hybrid by design, featuring a hand-finished timber top layer over a stable structural core. The surface is what you see and walk on; the construction below handles the technical work. The reclaimed top layer is sawn thin from antique European oak that's already lived a long previous life, most often as a beam, a granary floor or part of an interior wall lining. Those boards arrive with shadow-lines of nails and the slow darkening that long use brings to oak. The newly aged option takes a different route. Oak felled more recently is layered by hand with pigments, oils and waxes until the surface reads with comparable depth. Beneath either surface is a European birch-ply core bonded with WBP waterproof adhesive. The combination resists delamination under heat and moisture, eliminates seasonal expansion that limits solid timber in heated interiors, and maintains the acoustic weight and footfall of a one-piece board. It's the construction that lets reclaimed wood flooring and modern interior design coexist.
