Provenance Collection

Where the rest of our work leans toward the pronounced texture and deep patina of centuries-old timber, Provenance settles at the calm end of the spectrum. The palette runs from pale natural oak through warm brown oak tones into deeper, smoked oak finishes. All drawn from the timber's own tannins rather than surface stains. Colours like Tobacco Cove, Mist and Canyon read as oak that has matured without interference. They look softened by weathering, sea air or slow growth in mountain conditions, and are finished so the source still shows through. The matte hard wax oil gives the surface a soft, dry hand and a light that reads more like linen than lacquer. For interiors that call for darker brown oak flooring without the weight of a heavy stain, the smoked tones anchor the deepest end of the range. Laid in a country house drawing room, a city apartment, or a hotel suite, the floor holds its own against pale stone, dark joinery, and older furniture without drawing attention from any of them. This is rustic oak flooring in its most restrained register. Character is present, but never loud.
