The Natural Modern collection is designed for those who live between city and nature. New oak planks, finished by hand, bring a contemporary calm to urban interiors, without the visual weight of antique stock. Its palette is the culmination of more than a decade of collaboration with leading colour specialists across France and Belgium, refined and experimented with over the years. Layered applications of natural compounds create patinas with depth, complexity and a quiet sense of age that flat commercial finishes cannot replicate. Every board is produced slowly, because character cannot be rushed. Natural motifs, organic hues and soft Atlantic greys sit alongside browns drawn from rope, sand and weathered wood, and matt black. The colour is worked into the timber over successive coats, so it becomes part of the grain. The result is bright and airy in one room, soft and smoky in another. The aim is a surface that looks settled from the first day it's laid. The Natural Modern Collection is distinguished by its hand-applied colouring process, with every board individually coloured by specialist craftsmen in Northern France. Pigment is laid into fresh European oak first, then sealed with oils and natural waxes in successive coats, with curing time between layers so the colour bonds into the grain rather than skating across it. The result is colour that lives in the wood, not on top of it. Sunlight catches differently across the day, morning warmth opening the brown, evening cool pulling out the grey beneath. What settles into the room is grounded, natural and effortlessly modern.
