The Embracing Circularity Award

Decorex widened its Sustainability Awards to five categories for 2026. Embracing Circularity celebrates "exhibitors advancing circular design and production".

Circularity is an old idea in our trade, even if the word is new. A board that has served one building can go on to serve another, and eighty percent of our timber is reclaimed. Re:claimed itself began with one batch of Victorian pine from an abandoned Manchester mill, and we have spent the years since learning how much life is left in old wood.

Our thanks go to Mirry Christie and Jules Haines, who judged the awards, and to the team at Decorex.

The 2026 winners

We were in good company. Congratulations to the other winners of this year's Decorex Sustainability Awards:

Four days at Olympia

Over the four days, more than 100 interior designers and architects left us their details at the stand. Many conversations began the way they should, with a hand on the wood.

We showed our parquet panels and reclaimed planks, The Parisian Collection, and The Submerged Wood Collection, made with Triton Collections.

Sustainability ran through the show, with conversations at The Sustainability Space, hosted by B·ABLE and Haines Collection. Elodie Delonca, CEO of Triton Timber, our partner on The Submerged Wood Collection, joined one of the panels.

The Parisian Collection

In the grand homes and apartments of Paris, the floor is part of the architecture. Slender oak runs in chevron and herringbone, and a border frames each room. The Parisian Collection, launched at Decorex, continues that tradition in genuine reclaimed oak, graded by hand into long, slender pieces for traditional parquet and panel designs.

The collection met a warm reception at Olympia, and a week after the show closed, production had begun. The panels below are among the first to come off the bench.

Herringbone, warm oak

Slender pieces, long lines. A Parisian oak floor takes its character from many slim pieces working together. We grade every piece by hand for a calm, refined surface. The chevron points are fine and drawn out, the herringbone sits close, and the panels and borders come from the same slender stock, so one floor can carry its pattern from room to room.

History underfoot. Fine, irregular shadow gaps and the slightest variation in block height give the floor its soft, broken play of light. Oak oxidises and deepens with age, so each piece settles into its own warm tone beside the next.

Supply and consistency. Our hand-grading process is our own, refined over more than 25 years of working with reclaimed oak. Supply partners across Europe give us access to a rare source, and we expect that supply to stay consistent for years to come.

Platforms. The collection comes solid or engineered. The engineered platform suits underfloor heating and is available by special request.
