Unfinished Plank boards present the purest expression of Hand-Made French Oak: hand-shaped in France from naturally felled, old-growth timber, then vacuum dried to preserve its calm, mature grain. The surface shows the gentle undulations, subtle tonal shifts and quiet warmth that occur naturally in slow-grown oak — not created by distressing or chemical washes, but revealed by the maker’s hand and the wood’s inherent structure.
Custom Made Samples
Compare construction, tone, patina and texture. Feeling the wood in your hand reveals the true character and quality of each surface. Our bespoke samples are made to order, with sizes varying around 25 × 30 cm. Sample purchases are redeemable as credit against flooring orders and are otherwise non-refundable. Please allow 3–8 working days for preparation.

Hand shaped and vacuum-dried by master craftsmen in France, the Hand Made French Oak Collection expresses an old-world beauty rarely seen in modern timber. The oak used here comes from naturally felled, old-growth trees selected for their stability, depth of grain and slow-formed character — qualities impossible to replicate with contemporary farmed oak. Every board carries a calm, mature presence shaped not by machinery, but by the patient hand and the inherent nature of the wood itself.

We employ a unique process that reveals the colour movement, warmth and gentle undulation associated with centuries-old oak floors — achieved without distressing, artificial staining or forced patina techniques. Instead, we work with the timber’s natural chemistry and structure, unlocking its native tonal shifts and subtle surface contours. The result is a floor that feels timeless from the moment it is laid: elegant, tactile and grounded in the principles of slow production.
