Bath, England

We were commissioned by London design studio Shed to craft the flooring for Absurd Bird in Bath — a Louisiana-inspired fried chicken restaurant with a deliberately wacky, Mardi Gras spirit. To anchor the exuberant palette of bright pinks and turquoises at the central bar, we installed 300 m² of deep brown reclaimed oak across floors, then carried the timber up walls and ceilings. The result is a dark, cocooning envelope that sets off the playful colour work and creates a space that feels both intimate and surprisingly generous.
